Patients question how sterile a dental office is. The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens
Standard requires that dental practices have in place protocols for preventing
transmission of bloodborne pathogens to employees. The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention have several sets of guidelines for infection prevention
in the dental field for patients. The CDC recommended a dentist to monitor
at least once weekly.
Our office use the University of North Carolina School Of Dentistry to
monitor our practice!!!
We have a full time employee sterilizing and cleaning our patient’s
dental instruments. If a failure occurs, the School of Dentistry notifies
us immediately and walks us through a troubleshooting process. Therefore
, patients at our practice can relax and know that we are trying our best
to prevent any infection issues.
