What is a veneer?
A Veneer is a composite or ceramic, custom- made, thin shell that fits on the tooth. The benefits are:
1) Doesn’t stain
2) Has a natural appearance
3) Strength and minimal tooth reduction is required
Before a veneer appointment, your gums and teeth should be healthy. A patient that is a grinder or a clencher is not a good candidate for veneers. Veneers are very natural looking but can chip just like real teeth. Over time, they can become loose like any other restorations in dentistry and may need to be replaced.
